Backstory – A bet turned family 

     It was never the plan to create a family with these dogs, it just happened honestly. It all started with a bet made between my daughter and I. She really wanted a dog but that was a lot of responsibility for a 11 year-old girl. I decided since she wanted this responsibility she had to show she was ready, I told her that in order to get this dog she had to go to school everyday and on time. Teaching her the foundation of a responsibility and that if she’s dedicated and tries she can and will achieve anything. She went everyday, in the rain, in the snow, sick, and healthy. She dedicated herself to something she really wanted and proved that she could handle this responsibility. 

     Since I am a man of my word, May 27th of 2017, I decided she could get a dog. To begin she didn’t know what type of dog she wanted. Eventually, she decided on a German Shepherd. We went out to go get the things needed for a dog, but something caught her eye. A puppy, a bernese mountain dog to be exact, she kept talking about how it was cute and she’s never seen a dog like that. She then asked the owner, “What type of dog is that?” His response changed everything in our lives, “She’s a berner.” As the conversation continued, we found out more information and then she decided, this would be her dog. When getting Tyler we just knew this would be our dog, my daughter kept talking about how similar they were and how she felt like this was her dog. Knowing girl dads, the girl gets what she wants. Although there’s been a fair share of ups and downs (especially potty training). Tyler just fit in our family, Tyler was meant for our family. I’ll be honest, this did start as a bet… We never expected it to become a family, so when thinking of Tyler’s Berner’s LLC think of Ty, the one who made the family complete. The one who made my daughter’s life complete.
